ABOUT OUR PASTOR
TERRENCE
DEVEZIN
Pastor Terrence Devezin was born on September 1, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan. He is the second child to Angeletta Devezin and Ernest Cargins. His parents were huge music fans, (father a singer) and since the day Terrence was born singing and music was a part of his life. Later singing became Terrence’s gift to ministry. He sang and played several instruments throughout his school years. Through the years Terrence was a disc jockey and rose through the ranks in music. After graduating from Detroit Cooley High School in 1988, he joined the United States Army as a truck mechanic, April 19, 1989. Shortly, after his arrival to Kitzigen, Germany, he gave his life to the Lord while lying in his bed.
He immediately joined Abundant Life Church of God in Christ where his work in ministry was birthed. He joined the choir, within a year was promoted to choir director and Minister of Music. The following year he was appointed as a deacon, pastor’s adjutant and church facility coordinator in 1992. Once he arrived home, Detroit, Michigan, he acknowledged his call to the ministry under then Pastor J. D. Sheard. In 1994, while under Pastor Jesse G. Bell, Terrence Devezin was ordained as an Ordained Elder, to the glory of God. His past service to his church as National COGIC Adjutant, Evangelism President, Youth President, and Men’s Department President of Great Lakes First Jurisdiction of Michigan under Jurisdictional Prelate Bishop Michael E. Hill. After 16 years of service at Kingdom International COGIC, he acknowledged his call to pastor and founded United Kingdom Church with the support of his wife, First Lady Jaronique Devezin in Detroit, Michigan.
